Ballarat Turf Club will turn back the clock with back-to-back race meetings on Tuesday and Wednesday, March 7 & 8.
The programming revisits the days when the Ballarat Cup Carnival was run over two consecutive days more than decade ago.
The BTC will have eight races on Tuesday, with the track rated a Good4 and the rail out 12m from the 600m to the winning post, and in the true position for the remainder of the circuit.
Eight events are also programmed for Wednesday, with acceptances to be declared on Monday.
The doubleheader is part of a busy week for the club, with seven jumps trials having been run on Friday.
BTC chief executive Lachlan McKenzie said the club had put its hand up for a second meeting in as many days when one became available through a series of transfers.
He said it had agreed to the one-off programming in exchange for giving up a meeting in the winter when the track would rested ahead of the jumps feature day in August.
